The Buchberg is a partially forested ridge that is in front of the Blomberg . The hamlet of the same name Buchberg of the municipality of Wackersberg is located on the ridge . There is a ski lift on the north side.

The small ridge of the Buchberg, which stretches about 3 km from east to west, is separated from the rest of the Kochel mountains by the incision in which the Stallauer Weiher is located . The most famous neighbor is the Blomberg. The Stallauer Bach and the Siecherbach , as well as the Heubach, arise on the Buchberg .
