The Bay of Hera is located on the Wetar Strait , on the north coast of the island of Timor .

The bay of Hera is located in the East Timorese municipality of Dili , east of the capital of the same name . The west of the bay belongs to the Suco Hera ( administration office Cristo Rei ), the east to the Suco Sabuli (administration office Metinaro ). It is bounded in the west by the Ponta Séri Tútun and in the east by the Ponta Hatomanulaho . The Foho Cafraulun juts out into the bay as another cape . The Hahic , which only has water in the rainy season, flows into the bay.
The largest place in the bay is Hera , between Hahic and Foho Cafraulun. Here is a large power plant to supply Dili with electricity and the main base of the East Timorese Navy .
