Buda ( Ukrainian and Russian Буда ) is a settlement in the Ukrainian Cherkassy Oblast with about 40 inhabitants (2001).
Administratively, the settlement belongs to the Melnyky District Municipality in the west of Chyhyryn Raion . In the village, next to the found Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the righteous Petro Kalnyschewskyj (Ukrainian Храм святого праведного Петра Багатостраждального (Холодний Яр) ) and the ethnographic museum and complex Dykyj chutir ( Дикий хутір ) the " Maksym-Salisnjak oak " a natural heritage site of Ukraine.
Geographical location
The settlement lies at an altitude of 185 m in the forest Cholodnyj Jar ( Холодний Яр , in German Cold Gorge ), known among other things from the works of Taras Shevchenko and Jurij Horlis-Horskyj .
Buda is located about 10 km southwest of the Melnyky community center, 35 km west of the Chyhyryn district center and 50 km south of the Cherkassy oblast center .
Territorial road T-24-02 runs west of the village .
