The Buell Peninsula is an icy peninsula on the Pennell Coast of East Antarctica, Victoria Land . It lies between the lower sections of the Lillie , George and Sikow glaciers at the northwestern end of the Anare Mountains . The peninsula is 24 km long, a maximum of 13 km wide and ends at Cape Williams .
The United States Navy took aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946–1947) and between 1960 and 1962. The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its surveys carried out from 1962 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Kenneth Richard Buell (* 1934) of the US Navy, navigator and board of aircraft of the VX-6 flight squadron in Antarctica from 1965 to 1966 and between 1966 and 1967.
