Buenaventura ( Compañia de Mínas Buenaventura ) is a Peruvian company founded in 1953 with headquarters in Lima , which is active in the mining industry.

It mines gold, silver and other metals. The company is managed by Roque Benavides . One of its subsidiaries is the Peruvian mining company El Brocal .

The company owns 43.6% of the largest gold mine in South America and operates nine other mines in Peru alone . In 2009, Buenaventura achieved sales of around two billion dollars with the sale of gold, silver and non-ferrous metals . The profit was about $ 600 million.
