Buenaventura Villamayor (born May 4, 1967 in Mauban ) is a Filipino chess player who has been playing for the Singapore Chess Federation since 2017.

He won the Philippine championship once: in 1998. He played for the Philippines and Singapore in six Chess Olympiads : 1994 , 1998 - 2002 , 2008 and 2018 (for Singapore). He also took part in the Asian team championships (1999).

At the FIDE World Cup 2000 he failed in the first round to Artasches Minassyan .

In 1998 he became International Master , since 2000 he has held the title of Grand Master and since 2015 the title of FIDE Trainer.
