Ivans Vasiljevits Bugajenkovs (also Iwan Wassiljewitsch Bugajenkow ; Russian Ива́н Васи́льевич Бугае́нков ; born February 18, 1938 in Burlatsky , Stalingrad Oblast ) is a former Soviet - Latvian volleyball player and coach.

Bugajenkovs won gold with the Soviet national team at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo and 1968 in Mexico . He was also twice world champion ( 1960 and 1962 ) and achieved bronze in 1966 . He was European champion in 1967 and third at the 1963 European championship .

With Radiotechnik Riga , Bugajenkovs was four times Soviet runner-up and twice third between 1959 and 1970.

After his playing days, Bugajenkov was a trainer in Riga. From 1992 to 2005 he coached the Iranian youth and junior national teams.

In 2009 Bugajenkovs was inducted into the " Volleyball Hall of Fame ".
