The Buggisch Peak is a 1445 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Heritage Range of the Ellsworth Mountains, it rises in the Edson Hills 1.5 km southwest of Lester Peak .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years 1961 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after the German geologist Werner Buggisch (1943-2019), who from 1979 to 1980 in Worked in the Ellsworth Mountains as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program .
