Anton Pleva (born December 22, 1982 in Hamburg ) is a German actor .

Life

Anton Pleva is the son of the actor Jörg Pleva, who died in 2013, and his colleague Giulia Follina . Due to his parental profession, he played his first stage roles in his youth. After being a member of the acting company AdHoc founded by his father in various productions there since 1995, Pleva studied acting at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater (HfMT) from 2007 to 2010 . He had engagements in his hometown at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus , at the St. Pauli Theater and on Kampnagel . In 2012 he took on an engagement at Theater Bielefeld , which lasted until 2015. Here he embodied, among other things, Ferdinand in Kabale und Liebe by Friedrich Schiller , the mayor in Friedrich Dürrenmatt's visit to the old lady , Major von Tellheim in Minna von Barnhelm by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing and the title roles in Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen and William Shakespeare's Othello . At the beginning of 2017 at Hamburg's Ernst Deutsch Theater he played the role of Nobel Prize winner James Watson in the German-language premiere of Anna Ziegler's play Photo 51 around the biochemist Rosalind Franklin .

In addition, Anton Pleva works on his own theater projects and works in acting supervision. In 2016 he had teaching positions at the HfMT and at the Frese Drama Studio.

Occasionally Pleva also appears in front of the camera, especially in guest roles in series with a North German connection. In 1997 he shot the only time together with his father in the film Pig Sand - An Island Full of Secrets . In addition, Anton Pleva works as a radio play speaker. The actor lives in Hamburg.
