Adalbert Král von Dobrá Voda ( Czech Vojtěch Král z Dobré Vody , born April 20, 1844 in Wichstadtl , † July 6, 1913 in Wawřinetz / Vavřinec near Melnik ) was a Bohemian heraldry .

Life

Adalbert came from an old Vladiken family inherited from Dobrá Voda near Hořitz . His father was a kk customs collector. He studied accounting at the secondary school in Prague . In 1869 he founded the Sokol gymnastics team in Beneschau . From 1871 he was an accountant at the Linz – Budweiser Railway in Prague and from 1878 a technical officer in the hydraulic engineering department of the state committee in the Kingdom of Bohemia .

As an enthusiastic heraldist, he left a collection of around 60,000 coats of arms and 7,000 seals from the countries of the Bohemian crown . His heraldica , written in Czech , contains introductions to heraldry and the genealogies of the Bohemian nobility, as well as a catalog of coats of arms arranged according to the shield images.
