Bugzy Malone (born December 20, 1990 in Manchester ; real name Aaron Davis ) is a British rapper from Manchester.

Career

Bugzy Malone, whose rapper name is a reference to the mafia comedy Bugsy Malone , first attracted attention with his first mixtape Swaggaman in 2010. The mixtapes Why so Serious and Lost in Meanwhile City followed in the next two years.

The Grimerapper moved into the limelight in 2014 with the mixtape The Journal of an Evil Genius , which was supported by a series of Internet videos . His T-shirt campaign “0161 Manny on the Map” also attracted attention: The aim is to get Manchester back on the “map” (0161 is the area code for Manchester). On BBC Radio 1Xtra the following year he got an appearance on Fire in the Booth , which triggered a beef with the London rapper Chip . The video of the show reached the 1 million mark faster than any other recordings before. With his own music videos he also achieved millions of views. After another mixtape at the beginning of the year, Malone released their first album on the Grimey Limey label in the summer . With Walk with Me , he immediately made it into the top 10 of the British charts at number 8.

Less than a year later he released his second 8-track album, Facing Time , which this time reached number 6 and stayed in the charts for four weeks.
