Bundestag constituency Holzminden
The Bundestag constituency of Holzminden was a constituency in Lower Saxony from 1965 to 1980 . It included the districts of Holzminden , Alfeld (Leine) and Einbeck . The previous constituency from 1949 to 1965 was called Alfeld - Holzminden and only included the districts of Holzminden and Alfeld (Leine). After the electoral district was dissolved, its area was divided into the constituencies of Hameln - Holzminden , Hildesheim and Northeim - Osterode for the 1980 federal election .
The constituency was always won directly by candidates from the SPD , most recently by Karl Ahrens .
