The Bundestag constituency Rendsburg - Neumünster was a constituency in Schleswig-Holstein for the elections to the German Bundestag . It included the independent city of Neumünster and the district of Rendsburg and, since 1972, the southern part of the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde .
history
The constituency of Rendsburg - Neumünster had constituency number 5. It was formed for the 1965 federal election from parts of the former constituencies of Segeberg - Neumünster and Rendsburg . The area of the constituency remained unchanged for the federal elections from 1965 to 1972.
Before the 1976 federal election, the constituency was split up. The area of the city of Neumünster went to the newly formed constituency Plön - Neumünster and the southern part of the district Rendsburg-Eckernförde to the new constituency Rendsburg-Eckernförde .
