Bundestag constituency Wanne-Eickel - Wattenscheid
The Bundestag constituency Wanne-Eickel - Wattenscheid was a constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia from 1949 to 1980 . It included the former independent cities of Wanne-Eickel and Wattenscheid .
The constituency was dissolved for the 1980 federal election . Wanne-Eickel, which was incorporated into Herne in 1975 , became part of the Herne constituency and Wattenscheid, incorporated into Bochum, became part of the Bochum I constituency . The constituency was always won by candidates from the SPD , most recently by Heinz Westphal .
