The Buolkalach (or Buolkalah ; Russian Буолкалах ) is an approximately 305 km long, left or southwestern tributary of the north Siberian river Olenjok in the northwest of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in northern Russia .

The Buolkalach rises near the northeastern edge of the Central Siberian Mountains in the eastern part of the North Siberian lowlands . Its source lies in an unpopulated area of the tundra . The river runs winding and with little gradient mainly east-northeast through the swampy and lake-rich lowlands. He opens with settling Buolkalach in there from southeast zoom flowing Olenjok, the 9 km to the northwest in the settlement Ust-Olenjok forms a delta and after its flowing through the north polar Laptev Sea flows. Directly northeast opposite the Buolkalach estuary and thus beyond the Olenjok are the northwest foothills of the Czekanowskiberge .
Ice drift , tributaries and catchment area
The Buolkalach is usually covered by ice from early October to late May or early June . Its largest tributary is the right-hand Chastach with a length of 123 km and its catchment area covers 8,780 km².
