The mounds is an Outbound Turmhügelburg (Motte) near the Wesel-Datteln Canal southwest of the Focke mountain and north of the court Berger Schulte on a lip Terrace in Hünxe in Wesel in North Rhine-Westphalia .
In the 13th to 14th centuries, the von Berge family is named as the owner of the castle .
The castle site , a double complex with main and outer bailey , still shows the approximately 7 meter high tower hill of the main castle with a diameter of approximately 40 meters surrounded by a moat that is partly filled with earth from the castle hill but has not dried up . The castle hill of the outer bailey is about 3 meters high on a castle area of about 30 by 45 meters.
