Burghard piece
Burghard piece (born March 22, 1929 in Tangermünde , † March 26, 2008 in Berlin ) was a German pediatrician and immunologist .
Life
Burghard Stück was the son of the surgeon Dr. med. Fritz Stück, Tangermünde. He completed his schooling until 1948, most recently at the Francke Foundation high school in Halle . He studied medicine from 1949 to 1954 at the Free University of Berlin and received his doctorate in 1955 with a dissertation “ On the importance of the anti-streptolysin titer in scarlet fever ”. As an assistant at the University Children's Hospital of the Free University of Berlin, he worked on diseases of newborns and immunology . From 1962 to 1964 he received a scholarship to study experimental tumor immunology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York . In 1966 he was at the Free University of Berlin on the basis of Scripture " testing for the presence of tumor-specific immunity reactions on the model of chemically induced fibrosarcoma in mice " habilitation . In 1970, Stück was appointed professor. From 1974 to 1994 he headed the internal and infection department of the municipal children's clinic Berlin-Wedding and was the chief physician of the children's clinic at the Rudolf-Virchow University Clinic .
