Burkersdorf is a part of the municipality Tegau in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

geography

Burkersdorf is located east of Tegau and is connected to federal highway 2 near Tegau via a local road. The trough-like corridor is docked and belongs to the southeast Thuringian slate mountains .

With the KomBus line 820 , Burkersdorf has a connection to the core town of Tegau as well as the cities of Jena , Neustadt an der Orla , Schleiz and Stadtroda .

history

Burkersdorf was first mentioned in a document on October 19, 1594. The farmers of the place also took the East German route and, after the reunification of Germany, found ways of continuing to work in the countryside. A test station for the farmers of these locations has been set up in the corridor of Burkersdorf for years to investigate the best possible yields.
