The bus station Gladbeck Oberhof is the central bus station of the city of Gladbeck in the Ruhr area . It is located in Gladbeck's city center and opens up their area. All Gladbeck bus routes cross here except for the SB91 line. Instead, it only stops at Goetheplatz , which, however, is also served by most bus lines at the Gladbeck Oberhof bus station.
Location and structure
The bus station is located in the eastern area of the city center between the Winterswijk – Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck railway line and the pedestrian zone that connects to the western area of the bus station. There is an underground car park under the bus station. It was originally in an oblique parallel shape, but this is to be redesigned as long platforms with a sawtooth shape in the form of the planned conversion .
service
The bus station is served by all Gladbeck bus routes with the exception of the SB91 route. Bus routes 188 and 189 are operated by Busverkehr Rheinland , all others by Vestische trams .
modification
The bus station is being completely rebuilt. The bus platforms will be rebuilt in order to create shorter routes. Instead of the diagonally parallel form, there should be two long sawtooth-shaped bus platforms with two roundabouts at the end, which enable the buses to turn around.
Relocation of the Ostbahnhof to the bus station
The Gladbeck Ost train station is also 300 m north of the bus station. The associated railway line runs directly past the Gladbeck Oberhof bus station without stopping. So far, the bus station and train station have only been linked very cumbersome by a poor pedestrian tunnel. In the course of the renovation of the bus station, Gladbeck Ost station will be relocated and in future it will form a unit with the bus station.
