Buser's lady's mantle ( Alchemilla buseri ) is a species from the genus of lady's mantle ( Alchemilla ).

features

Buser's lady's mantle is a very thin, small to medium-sized plant. The leaf blades of the basal leaves have a width of 1.5 to 4 centimeters and are kidney to circular, seven-part, incised to (90) 100% and encompass 225 to 330 °. The leaflets are two to four times as long as they are wide, linear-lanceolate to inverted-lanceolate, rounded to truncated and 60 to 75% imperforate. The upper side of the leaves is dull and yellow-green, the underside thickly silvery white and silky. There are 9 to 11 teeth on the leaflets. These are 0.5 to 1.5 millimeters long (which corresponds to about 7% of the radius of the blade), 0.5 to 1.5 millimeters wide, spreading to pointing together and pointed. The end tooth is shorter. Stems and petioles are not reddened and 0.5 to 0.7 millimeters thick. The stem is erect, 10 to 15 centimeters long and 1 to 1.5 times as long as the petioles. The flowers are yellow-green, 2.5 to 4 millimeters long and 3 to 5 millimeters wide. The sepals are horizontal and 1 to 2 times as long as they are wide. The stylus protrude by up to 0.8 millimeters.

Occurrence

Buser's lady's mantle is found in the French and Swiss Alps. The species grows on limestone rocks and stony mats over limestone. It is mainly found in the subalpine level.

etymology

The species was named after Robert Buser , the founder of the modern taxonomy of the genus Alchemilla .
