With the aim of taking account of the increasing international interdependence of the business informatics community and to offer explanation and design-oriented business informatics research a global platform, business informatics appeared in parallel and identical in content since issue 1/2009 - in the sense of a one-to-one Translation - in German and English. It was also published in German under the title Wirtschaftsinformatik , and in English under the title Business & Information Systems Engineering (BISE) . This strategic development towards an international science journal finally led to the end of the German-language version from issue 1/2015; the magazine will only be continued in the form of the English-language BISE .
