The Butler Rocks are two 910 m high nunatakker rising 4 km southwest of the Vanguard Nunatak in the northern Forrestal Range in the Pensacola Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey , they mapped by surveys and on the basis of aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1955 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1968 after the US Airbrushing William A. Butler, of the occupation of the Ellsworth Station in Winter 1957 belonged.
