The Bynoe River is an arm of the Flinders River in the northwest of the Australian state of Queensland .

geography

River course

The arm of the river branches off from the Flinders River about 38 kilometers southwest of Normanton and flows from there directly to the north. It passes under the Savannah Way at Daroo Pocket and flows into a clay plain, which is an important bird sanctuary. About 15 kilometers west of Karumba it flows into the Gulf of Carpentaria .
