Cécile Storti (born April 5, 1983 in Évian-les-Bains ) is a former French cross-country skier .

Career

Storti took part in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 1999 to 2010 . At the Junior World Championships in 2001 in Karpacz , Poland , she was 30th over 5 kilometers in free technique and 32nd in sprint. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2002 in Schonach , she won silver over 5 km freestyle. She ran her first World Cup race in December 2003 in Davos in the relay, which she finished in eighth place. On February 6, 2004 she started in La Clusaz over ten kilometers in the free technique for the first time in a World Cup individual race and was 47th of 54 runners. She achieved her first World Cup points on December 5, 2004 in Bern with an eleventh place in the team sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2005 in Oberstdorf , she finished 30th over 10 km freestyle and ninth place with the relay. In December 2005 she got her first World Cup points in Canmore with the 16th place over 10 km freestyle. This was also her best result in a World Cup individual race. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Pragelato , she came ninth in the relay. She reached 42nd place in the pursuit race over 15 kilometers at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec , while she did not reach the finish in the mass start race over 30 kilometers. She finished the Tour de Ski 2009/10 in 32nd place overall. After the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , where she finished 44th in the 15 km pursuit and sixth place in the relay, she ended her career.
