Cüneyt Dumlupınar (born August 10, 1980 in Izmir ) is a former Turkish football player and coach.
Player career
Dumlupınar went through the junior department of Karşıyaka SK and was accepted into the professional squad in 1998. Here he did not succeed in establishing himself in the professional squad, so he was loaned out to Yeni Milasspor , Petkimspor and TKİ Soma Linyitspor in turn .
In the summer of 2003, he ended his career at Yenifoçaspor.
Coaching career
Dumlupınar started working as a trainer in 2004 and worked as a youth trainer for various first and second division clubs until 2014. After the head coach of the professional team of Kayserispor resigned from his position in March 2014 , Dumlupınar took over the professional team together with Ertuğrul Seçme . Due to a lack of a coaching license Dumlupınars Seçme supervised the teams during the league games and Dumlupınar trained and prepared the team for the league games.
In September 2014, he took over the team as head coach after the club under Mutlu Topçu had started the season well below expectations. Due to a lack of a coaching license, the club shows Seçme again as the official head coach. Dumlupınar and the team achieved the hoped-for turnaround in no time. The team took over the championship lead on matchday 13, lost it the next matchday and regained it one matchday later. After Dumlupınar had led the team confidently to the autumn championship , the team secured promotion on the 31st and the championship one game day later.
For the 2015/16 season Dumlupınar took over the second division side Karşıyaka SK. In October 2015 he left the club.
