CEB European Cup Qualifier

The European Cup Qualifier are the preliminary round tournaments from which the later twelve participating clubs in the European Champions Cup in baseball are determined. In 2009 there were four venues with pools of six teams each. The tournaments are organized annually by the Confederation of European Baseball with changing venues .

The tournament winners competed in two play-off tournaments against the group bottom of the European Cup , Rouen Huskies and Savigny Lions. There Rouen and Moscow prevailed.

Playoffs (September 26/27, Paris):
After some tournament winners of the qualifiers canceled, there was only one best-of-three series between Templiers Senart (FRA) and the Bern Cardinals in the playoffs for the European Cup places (SUI), which Templiers won 2-0.
