The CGE Tudor is a French passenger car.

history

The French front-wheel drive pioneer Jean-Albert Grégoire designed an electric car from 1941 on behalf of the Compagnie Générale d'Électricité . Around 200 copies were made between 1941 and 1946.

A vehicle of this brand can be viewed in the Musée des 24 Heures in Le Mans .

chassis

The chassis consisted of an aluminum frame. The electric motor was arranged centrally. The batteries were mounted in the front and back.

An electric motor provided the drive . The batteries were charged by recuperation while braking.

Performance

The design-related top speed was 58 km / h, and the range 90 kilometers.

body

The production vehicles were convertibles . There were also some prototypes as delivery vans , plans for a four-door, four-seater sedan for use as a taxi, and some coupés that were exhibited at the Paris Motor Show in October 1946.
