The CHT Group is a global group of companies specializing in specialty chemicals as function providers, auxiliaries and additives for industrial processes. The group of companies is owned by two foundations , the Beitlich Family Foundation and the Reinhold Beitlich Foundation.

The headquarters and the competence centers of the business areas are located at the company's headquarters, at CHT Germany GmbH (formerly CHT R. Beitlich GmbH) in Tübingen . The dye range is from the Swiss company CHT Switzerland AG (formerly AG CHT) in Montlingen develops, manufactures and marketed .

The operational responsibility for business development lies in four business areas: Textiles , Textile Care, Construction & Assembly and General Industries. With around 2200 employees worldwide in 27 companies and additional commercial agencies, the group of companies sells its products and services in 120 countries.

history

CHT Germany GmbH was founded in 1953 under the name CHT R. Beitlich GmbH in Tübingen . The company's founder, Reinhold Beitlich, began expanding the company in the 1960s. First in Europe , with subsidiaries in Austria , France and Switzerland . Bezema AG, located in Montlingen / Switzerland in 1971, and since June 16, 2017 CHT Switzerland AG, has developed into the largest subsidiary within the group and is today its competence center for textile dyes. Companies were founded in South Africa , Brazil , China , Mexico , Colombia , India , Pakistan , Peru and Turkey . In 1983 the group of companies was transformed into a foundation organization. With three production sites, China has developed into the largest foreign production site since 1992 . In 2015, the CHT Group expanded its paper business by taking over CHT Quimipel Brazil Química Ltda.

The former ICM Silicones Group, based in Cassopolis, Michigan, USA, has been part of the CHT Group since August 2017. In November 2019, the CHT Group takes over keim additec surface GmbH, based in Kirchberg, Hunsrück, Germany.
