CSBC Corporation

The CSBC Corporation , and China Shipbuilding Corporation , is a shipbuilding company in Taiwan for commercial and military ships. The shipyards are located in Keelung and Kaohsiung .

Among other things, special ships such as the Blue Marlin , bulk carriers and container ships ( CSBC 2200 ) of the Panmax class as well as container ships of the Evergreen L class and ULCC oil tankers, which are currently among the largest in the world, are built.

history

The historical basis of the China Shipbuilding Corporation is formed by the Taiwan Dockyard Company, founded by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1937, which was spun off again in 1948 as Taiwan Shipbuilding Corp. （TSBC） after being merged with Taiwan Steel Works and the Tong Kuang Company, and China Shipbuilding, founded in 1973 Corp. (CSBC). Both companies merged in January 1978 to form CSBC. The current name was changed in 2007.
