Cady Groves (born July 30, 1989 in Emporia , Kansas , † May 2, 2020 in Nashville , Tennessee ) was an American singer-songwriter .

Life

Groves grew up in Marlow , Oklahoma , in a family of seven children. At Christmas she was given a drum for Christmas ; from then on her passion for music began .

After Groves broke up with her boyfriend at the time, she released her first work A Month of Sundays , an EP, in October 2009 . Her second EP was released in February 2010 with The Life of a Pirate , before she signed a contract with RCA Records in May 2010 .

In February 2012 her third EP This Litte Girl was released , in June 2012 her first official solo single Love Actually . In 2013 her second single Forget You was released .

On June 23, 2015 she released the duet Whiskey and Wine as a single with Christian Burghardt . About three months later, their fourth and final EP, Dreams . This was made available as a free download for your newsletter subscribers. On June 6, 2016, the single of the same name was released, which was also the last official release of Groves.

She died in early May 2020 at the age of 30.
