The Wiendahlsnebenbank colliery in the Dortmund districts of Kruckel and Kirchhörde is a former hard coal mine . The mine was also known under the names of Zeche Wiendahlsnebenbanck , Zeche Wiendahls Nebenbank and Zeche Wiendahlsnebenbank & Erbstolln .

history

The beginnings

In 1750 the mine was already in operation. In 1783 the length field of the later mine was measured . In the same year, a tunnel was set up in the Bahnbach valley . Later a second tunnel was added downstream. In the 18th century the field was by John Erbstollen solved . In 1796 the mine was operated in the area at the New Shaft. In 1800 the mine was operated at the Neuhoff shaft. In 1805 the shafts Based Erich and Hermann were promoting . In the period from May 11th to June 5th, 1807, four seams were awarded . In 1810 the Henderich mine was in operation. In 1815 the mine was still in operation. In 1820 the Stollort was only excavated from the Glückauf Erbstollen . In 1825, the Feldschacht and Henderich shafts were again dismantled . In the period from April to October of the year 1830 the mine was in time limits . After October the mine was only operated intermittently.

The other years

In 1835 the mine was again within deadlines, from September of the same year repair work was carried out. Repair work continued in 1836. The work was extended to the Johannes Erbstollen. In 1838 only maintenance work was carried out in the Johannes Erbstollen. At the beginning of 1840 only maintenance work was carried out in the mine. Alignment work started again in the mine from March of the same year . From December of the following year coal was mined again. In 1845 the Ludwig shaft was mined in the area. In 1852 two shafts were in production. In the same year the mining of iron rock began. This ore was mined for the Hörder Verein. In 1855, the coal reserves above the bottom of the Glückauf Erbstollen were depleted. In the same year the Wiendahlsnebenbank colliery was shut down. In 1903 the rightful owner fell to the Gottessegen mine .

Promotion and workforce

The first production figures come from the year 1830, 7195 bushels of hard coal were produced. In 1833 the production sank to 2553 bushels of hard coal. In 1837, 78 bushels of hard coal were extracted with two miners . In 1841 the production was 111 ⅜ Prussian tons of hard coal. In 1845, 126,402 bushels of hard coal were extracted; the workforce in that year was between 30 and 50 employees. The last known figures for the mine are from 1855, with four employees producing around 10,000 bushels of hard coal.
