Caimanes de Tabasco

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Caimanes de Tabasco is a former football club from Villahermosa , the capital of the Mexican state of Tabasco .

history

The Caimanes ( Spanish for caimans ) were founding members of the newly introduced Primera División 'A' in the opening season 1994/95 . This was installed as the successor to the Segunda División, which from this point only took the rank of a third division, to the new second division in Mexican club football . In the 1993/94 pre-season, Club Tabasco, which is represented in the Segunda División, was the first ever club to bring second division football to Tabasco.

The Caimanes' second division should also be limited to one season because they were the first relegated athlete from this league at the end of the opening season. Also in the cup competition of the same season, the Caimanes were eliminated in the first round, where they forced a 0-0 against the first division club Toros Neza and were only defeated on penalties .

Later, the state of Tabasco was represented for three and a half years by the Lagartos and a half-season by the Guerreros in the Primera División 'A'. The Lagartos are - similar to the Caimanes - also a species of lizard in the order of the crocodiles .

Today's Caimanes

It is unclear to what extent the original Caimanes de Tabasco can be reconciled with the team currently under the same name, which in 2011 still played in a fifth-rate regional league on an amateur basis and since the 2011/12 season with this nickname and the club name Real Victoria Tabasco is represented in the fourth-class Tercera División .
