Calle Overweg

Calle Overweg (* 1962 in Krefeld ) is a German film director and film editor .

Life

Calle Overweg studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) and at the "Higher Courses for Scenarios and Directors" in Moscow . His graduation film Grünschnäbel (1997) received the “Best Graduate Film from German Film Schools” award. For The Problem Is My Wife (2003) he received the 3sat documentary film award .

Overweg has made experimental documentaries, films about and for children (like Die Villa and Da A lot can happen ) and classic documentaries. He teaches at the Bauhaus University Weimar and the DFFB. Calle Overweg lives and works in Berlin .
