Calogero Lauricella
Calogero Lauricella (born February 20, 1919 in Ravanusa , † June 20, 1989 in Syracuse ) was Archbishop of Syracuse .
biography
Calogero Lauricella was ordained a priest on June 12, 1941. On May 13, 1961 he was appointed titular bishop of Sela and auxiliary bishop in Agrigento . He received his episcopal ordination on June 24, 1961.
On September 8, 1964, Calogero Lauricella was appointed auxiliary bishop in Cefalù . From 1967 headed the diocese as Apostolic Administrator . On June 4, 1970 he was appointed Bishop of Cefalù.
On September 8, 1973 Calogero Lauricella was named Archbishop of Syracuse . He died there on June 20, 1989 at the age of 70.
