Calvaro Z (Calvaro FCS) (* 1987 in Germany , † 2009 in France ) was a Holstein stallion and a former world-class jumping horse.
As a result of a heart attack, Calvaro died in France in 2009 at the age of 22.
Calvaro Z in sport
Calvaro was brought into sport by Michael Rüping and afterwards gained international success with Jos Lansink and the brothers John and Michael Whitaker .
In 1997 he won team silver under Jos Lansink at the European Championships in Mannheim . In 1998 he started at the World Championships in Rome .
In 1999 the stallion came under Michael Whitaker with whom he competed at European Championships and World Equestrian Games. In 2000 Calvaro Z took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney with John Whitaker in the saddle .
