Calvos (also São Gens de Calvos ) is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in northern Portugal . Calvos belongs to the Póvoa de Lanhoso district in the Braga district . The community had an area of 4.7 km² and 483 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Calvos and Frades were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Calvos e Frades . Calvos is the seat of this newly formed community.
