Calystegia longipes is a kind ofplantfrom the genus of the bindweed ( Calystegia ) from the family of the bindweed family (Convolvulaceae). The species is common in the United States .
description
Calystegia longipes is a subshrub that forms a woody, more or less hemispherical caudex as a perennial organ. The branches are stiffly growing or intertwined and 30 to 100 cm long. The leaf blades have a length of less than 6 cm, they are linear to narrow triangular in shape. The upper leaves are lobed with linear lobes.
The flowering period is between May and July. The inflorescences usually consist of a single flower, the inflorescence stalks are up to 20 cm long, significantly longer than the accompanying leaves. The prophylls are 3 to 17 mm long, 0.2 to 3 mm wide, linear and often lobed at the base and mostly opposite, about 4 to 50 mm below the calyx . The sepals are 8 to 11 mm long, the crown is white or cream-colored to pale pink or lavender-colored and 28 to 36 mm long.
distribution
The species is common in California , Nevada and Arizona . It grows in dry, stony locations at altitudes between 600 and 1300 m.
