Cameron Rock "Cam" Bedrosian , nickname Bedrock , (born October 2, 1991 in Senoia , Georgia ) is an American baseball player in Major League Baseball (MLB) in the position of pitcher .

He is the son of Cy Young Award winner Steve Bedrosian .

Career

Bedrosian was selected in the first round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim . He signed a contract with a signing bonus of $ 1.116 million. His first experience was in the Arizona League with the Arizona Angels, a Los Angeles Angels farm team . In 2011 he had to undergo Tommy John surgery and missed the entire season.

After a few more years in the minor league , he made his MLB debut on June 3, 2014 at the age of 22 in the jersey of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim against the Houston Astros . In the game, he pitched an inning . The Angels lost the game 2 to 7. He ended his debut year with a lost game and an Earned Run Average (ERA) of 6.58.

Bedrosian recorded its first save in 2016 . That season he has made 45 appearances, 51 strikeouts and won two games with an ERA of 1:12.

From 2017 to the end of the 2019 season , he had 178 appearances, 14 won and 12 lost games, eight saves and 174 strikeouts with an ERA of 3.76.
