As a 15-year-old, Alexander took part in FIS races from January 2014 , initially in all disciplines. He made his first appearance in the Nor-Am Cup in December 2014. He finished in the points for the first time twelve months later. While his focus was initially on giant slalom and slalom , it gradually shifted to the fast disciplines. He achieved his best result at the Junior World Championships in 2018 in Davos with 5th place in the Super-G. In the 2018/19 season he established himself near the top of the Nor-Am Cup. On December 6, 2018, he achieved his first podium at this level, with second place in the Lake Louise Downhill .
Alexander made his World Cup debut on November 30, 2019 in the downhill of Lake Louise, where he finished 48th. The following month he scored two more podiums in the Nor-Am Cup, including his first win on December 12, 2019 (also a downhill in Lake Louise). He scored World Cup points for the first time on January 18, 2020, when he finished the Lauberhorn run in Wengen in an impressive 19th place. He was also able to score in Kitzbühel and Garmisch-Partenkirchen . At the end of the 2019/20 World Cup season, he moved up to tenth place on March 7th in Kvitfjell with the high starting number 49. In the Nor-Am Cup 2019/20 he won the downhill classification ( tied with Jeffrey Read )
