Camille Lopez-Molina (* as Camille Lopez ) is a Filipino singer with a soprano voice .

Life and career

Camille Lopez-Molina studied singing with Fides Cuyugan-Asensio at the University of the Philippines in Manila ; at that time her voice was still a mezzo-soprano . She then received a scholarship to the Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong , where she graduated with Kevin Miller in opera singing . She then went to Vienna for further vocal training , where she studied solo singing with Marija Sklad-Sauer from 1996 to 2001 at the Vienna Conservatory and trained her vocal range up to soprano.

Her repertoire ranges from the Baroque and Classical periods through the Romantic period to musicals and jazz as well as traditional Southeast Asian songs . She sang the Bloody Mary in the musical South Pacific as well as the Giulietta in Hoffmann's Tales of Offenbach , the Countess in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro , the Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana by Pietro Mascagni and many other roles.

In 2001, Lopez-Molina accompanied the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra at a Europe - touring as a soloist ; She has also participated in various seasonal concerts and domestic music projects of the orchestra. Outside of her home country, in addition to Europe, she has also performed as a singer in the USA , Hong Kong and Singapore .

Lopez-Molina is counted among the leading singing artists in the Philippines today.

She currently teaches singing at the Conservatory of the University of the Philippines , St. Scholastica's College and Centro Escolar University in Manila .

family

Camille Lopez (-Molina) comes from a musical family. Your mother, Dr. Myrna Lopez practices as a doctor in Manila and is also a well-known choir director ; she has trained the Manila Metropolitan Theater Chorus and numerous other Filipino choirs. Camille's sister Myra is married to Joel Masiglat, a former member of the Manila Metropolitan Theater Chorus ; Both emigrated to Canada in 2002, where they now live near Calgary and work as dedicated choristers in their free time.

Camille Lopez-Molina is married to the tenor Pablo Molina, the couple has two daughters.
