The Campeon ( suitcase word from Camp us and Infin eon ) is essentially an office complex embedded in a 62 hectare public landscape park with 6.8 hectares of water and sports facilities. The multifunctional area belongs to the community of Neubiberg , district of Unterbiberg ( district of Munich ).

The facility, which was built from 2001 to 2005, has 150,100 m² of gross floor area above ground (a total of 979,259 m³ of enclosed space ) for office and research use with canteen and restaurants, shops, kindergarten and a fire station . East and west around the central green axis, six per building, so-called half-modules that have a running in a north-south direction central "broken Anger be tapped." Infineon Technologies AG moved into the buildings at the end of 2005 . Intel Mobile Communications (IMC), the former Infineon Wireless Solutions division, can also be found on the premises. The planned modules G and H have not yet been implemented; however, the corresponding reserve areas are available for this.

In the office and laboratory buildings, convection heat exchangers are used for cooling and heating. For this purpose, two well galleries were created on the northern and southern edges of the site. The water for air conditioning is taken from the southern one and, after thermal use, is returned to the natural groundwater flow via the northern well gallery. A small part of the extracted groundwater is used to feed the artificial lake system, which was developed as a biotope around the Campeon .

The Campeon is served by the S-Bahn line 3 ( Munich - Giesing - Deisenhofen - Holzkirchen ) at the Fasanenpark stop , by bus lines 199 (Campeon West and Campeon stops) and 220 (Fasanenpark stop) and by the A8 Munich - Salzburg motorway ( Junction Neubiberg ).
