Cannabicyclohexanol is a cannabinoid receptor agonist and an analog of the cannabinoid CP-47,497 , which was developed by the Pfizer company in the 1980s . Due to the close analogy (only the side chain was extended by a methyl group ) cannabicyclohexanol is also referred to in the literature as CP 47,497-C8 or (C8) -CP 47,497 .

On January 19, 2009, employees at the University of Freiburg announced that cannabicyclohexanol is the main active ingredient of the drug Spice .
