Carbonara di Po is a fraction of the northern Italian municipality ( comune ) Borgocarbonara with last 1,254 inhabitants (as of September 30, 2017) in the province of Mantua in Lombardy . The village is located about 28 kilometers east-southeast of Mantua on the Po and borders directly on the province of Rovigo ( Veneto ).
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1082. On January 1, 2019, Carbonara di Po was merged with Borgofranco sul Po to form the municipality of Borgofranco.
