Carine Risch

Carine Risch (* 1960 ) is a former Luxembourg table tennis player who was internationally active in the 1970s and 1980s. She took part in five world championships and four European championships .

Career

In the 1980s Carine Risch won 22 times at the national Luxembourg championships, namely seven times in singles, eleven times in doubles and four times in mixed. From 1977 to 1985 she took part in five world championships , but never came close to medal ranks. In 1981 she won the Germany Cup in Trier .

Carine Risch played at the Luxembourg associations Cado Lampertsbierg and Aischen before 1981 for the German club Post SV Dusseldorf in the Bundesliga moved. In the 1982/83 season she was active at ATSV Saarbrücken , then until 1985 at Weiß-Rot-Weiß Kleve .

In September 1985 she married the Luxembourg national soccer player Armin Krings , with whom she has two children. In 1985 she announced her resignation from international sport. After that she was still active at the Luxembourg clubs Cado Lampertsbierg, Esch Palette and Stroossen (in a men's team). She was athlete of the year four times .

Today (2017) she works as a civil servant at Mercedes-Luxembourg.
