Carl Bock (politician)

Carl Bock , also Karl Bock (* 1882 or 1883 ; † May 26, 1931 ), was a German trade unionist and politician ( USPD , SPD ).

Life

During the November Revolution of 1918, Bock was a member of the Magdeburg Workers 'and Soldiers' Council . As a representative of the council, he was attached to the commanding general of the IV Army Corps , but a conflict soon arose. On May 16, 1919, the Magdeburg metalworkers elected him as an association employee. From 1921 to 1924 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament , initially for the USPD and from 1922 for the SPD . On June 30, 1922, he was sent to Stuttgart by the main board of the metal workers' association as an auditor . He held this position until 1924.

He then became an innkeeper and later a milk dealer until he had to give up his work due to illness. He died of pulmonary tuberculosis in 1931 at the age of 48 . The memorial service for the cremation took place on May 29, 1931 at Magdeburg's Westfriedhof .
