Carl Esser (politician)

Carl Esser (born October 11, 1901 in Gelsenkirchen ; † January 8, 1972 in Ostbevern ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( center ).

Life and work

After attending school, he completed a degree in veterinary medicine at the universities of Munich , Dresden and Hanover . The course was followed by veterinary training in Schleswig-Holstein, in the Mark Brandenburg and in Westphalia as well as a doctorate . From 1927 to 1972 he was a veterinarian in Ostbevern. He was married and had nine children.

Member of the county council of the then district Warendorf he was from 1946 to 1969. From November 5, 1948 until November 25, 1952, Esser district of the circle. At times he was the group chairman of the center in the district council. In the 1965 federal election , he ran for the Christian People's Party , a temporary merger of the Center and the Saarland People's Party , unsuccessfully on the North Rhine-Westphalian state list.

Esser was active in various committees of the district council NW . From 1958 to 1961 he was President of the Veterinary Association of Westphalia-Lippe.
