Carl Merry

Carl August Fröhlich (born November 11, 1813 in Karlsruhe , † April 27, 1880 ibid) was a Baden government councilor and an honorary citizen of Wiesloch .

Life

He was the son of a councilor, attended grammar school in Mannheim from 1823 to 1832 and studied law in Tübingen and Heidelberg until 1836 . In 1833 he became a member of the Corps Franconia Tübingen . In 1838 he entered the civil service as a legal intern. In 1843 he became secretary to the War Office in Karlsruhe, 1847 Assessor at the district office Ettenheim and 1848 bailiff at the municipal office in Karlsruhe. On July 1, 1850, he became the head of the Wiesloch district office. From October 1853 he was a member of the Protestant upper church council in Karlsruhe, from 1855 government councilor in the Upper Rhine District and from 1860 secret government councilor in the Middle Rhine District. In 1864 he came to the Administrative Court as an administrative judge. In 1875 he retired.

From 1855 to 1870 Fröhlich was a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly .
