Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Leonhardt

Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Leonhardt (born August 24, 1881 in Frankfurt am Main ; † May 15, 1918 on the Western Front ) was a German architect .

Life

Leonhardt was born the son of a Frankfurt merchant and studied architecture at the Technical University of Karlsruhe , among others with Carl Schäfer and Friedrich Ratzel . He was self-employed in Frankfurt am Main from 1905 at the latest.

  • Competition design 1909, execution 1912–1913: Lukaskirche .
  • 1910: Administration building of Voigt & Haeffner AG (under monument protection).
  • 1919: Winner in the competition to design the pier head of the Frankfurt East Harbor in Frankfurt am Main. Not executed.
  • Competition design in 1911, started in 1915: New construction of the old bridge (construction stopped because of the World War).
  • Design for the Friedenskirche (not carried out because of the World War).
