Johann Carl Gottfried Haentze (born June 30, 1781 in Eilenburg , † June 27, 1858 in Schedewitz ) was a German entrepreneur.

Life

After completing his commercial training, Haentze settled in Hainichen as a businessman, where he founded his first spinning mill. After the company was sold, he moved to Ronneburg , where he also worked as a textile manufacturer. 1829 bought Häntze the spinning mill at Schedewitz Zwickau and designed to operate in a worsted spinning to. The company, which produced with French spinning technology, quickly gained a good reputation.

On September 2, 1835, the three Worsted Spinning Mills from Schedewitz, Petrikowsky-Lindenau, von Leipziger and Haentze merged to form the company "Petrikowsky & Co." Haentze became managing director and shareholder.

The company based on Muldenmühlengraben expanded quickly. Petrikowsky & Co. operated hand- wool combing shops in Albernau and Johanngeorgenstadt . In 1839 the company was converted into an oHG .

The main focus of Haentze's work was on improving spinning technology and enlarging the production facilities. In addition to looking for new sales markets for the yarns, he increasingly focused on the use of inexpensive raw wool from Pomerania and Mecklenburg.

In 1849 Haentze left the company. He appointed his son-in-law Aloys Dautzenberg as his successor and transferred his company shares to him.

After his death and 50 years after his departure, the corporate form was changed again and the worsted yarn spinning mill Schedewitz AG was created .
