Carl Jensen (Plön)

Carl Jensen (born June 9, 1906 in Flensburg ; † September 5, 1987 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1967 to 1971 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament .

Life and work

Carl Jensen first attended secondary school, later also the folk high school "Dithmarscher Landesschule" in Lunden . He completed his music studies with the organist exam. He completed an administrative training and became administrative manager in the Reichsnährstand . After the Second World War , from 1947 onwards he worked as a district manager of the Plön district craftsmen's association.

Jensen was married and had two children.

politics

In 1948 Jensen joined the CDU and later became deputy CDU district chairman in the Plön district . In 1951 he became a member of the district council , where he was a member of the district committee, chairman of the district school and culture committee and a member of the building committee. From 1955 to 1957 he was CDU parliamentary group chairman in the district council, and later he was also the deputy parliamentary group chairman.

Jensen was also a member of the supervisory board of Plöner Volksbank, a member of the board of trustees for pensioner housing developments and deputy chairman of the Plön Museum Association.

In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 1967 he was elected as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 31 (Plön-Süd) in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament. Jensen was a member of the state parliament from May 16, 1967 to May 15, 1971. During his time in the state parliament was among other things a member of the committee for the constitution and rules of procedure, the economic committee and the popular education committee, where he temporarily held the deputy chair.
